What this site covers
Everything outside the front door: turning an existing garage into livable space, the curb appeal upgrades that actually move resale value, garden and backyard design, doors and entryways, and outdoor living more broadly.
It all shares the same underlying question: what's actually worth doing to the outside of a house, and what does it really cost, legally and financially, to do it.
How this site is built
The inspiration and layout content is meant to be broad and visual — a starting point for what's possible. The cost, permit, and financing pages are held to a higher bar: sourced, dated, and checked against real local rules wherever possible, because a wrong answer there can cost someone a stop-work order on a project already underway.
What this site won't do
It won't tell you a $40,000 project costs $15,000 to get a click, and it won't publish permit or legal information without being clear about what's a general rule of thumb versus something you need to verify with your own city or county.
